Patrick Frey

Patrick Frey was born in Seoul, South Korea. In 2007, he founded the Patrick Frey Studio for Design, which works for companies such as Villeroy & Boch, Nils Holger Moormann, Bree, Authentics, Richard Lampert, elmarflötotto, Vial and others.


In his first year of freelancing, Patrick Frey was awarded the highest-endowed prize for upcoming designers, the Lucky Strike Junior Designer Award. Lots of his products have been awarded international prizes, such as the IF Product Design Award, Good Design Award Chicago Athenaeum and the Designpreis Baden-Württemberg.


He has taught at the Universität für angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst in Hanover since 2014.



Porcelain pieces, glassware and thermos jug all have basic geometric shapes, a trimmed down silhouette as well as the characteristic bend. The sizes are modular so that plates if it as lids on the bowls, for instance. Each piece is sold separately.
